Shih Tzu’s Are So Great

So your thinking about maybe owning a Shih Tzu. They are great, loveable pets. Owning a Shih Tzu can bring you many years of great companionship. Owning a Shih Tzu is a fulltime, lifetime committment. Make sure you are fully capable of taking care of your new Shih Tzu. The Shih Tzu takes a lot of work. It’s comparable to raising a baby, except for the diapers. They will demand your atention and they need lots of love. They deserve lots of love.

The Shih TzuĀ  is very easily trained. You can train them to go potty outside or inside on a puppy pad. I found it easier to train our Shih Tzu to go potty on a puppy pad. It kept me from having to get up at different hours of the night to let him outiside to do his business. Just be sure to change the pads just after they are done doing their business. This keeps the stink factor from over taking your home. The other advantage to training your Shih Tzu to go on a pad is they don’t go outside and possibly get fleas. They are so much happier not having fleas.

There are many other advantages to having them go potty on a puppy pad. If you have to go to work and they are trained to go on a pad them they won’t mess up anywhere else in the home. I leave for 8.5 hours a day and when I get home I just have to change the puppy pad. Need to go on a vacation? Take your Shih Tzu and a package of pads and your set. A trained Shih Tzu wion’t let you down, if you keep the pad out.
